Case Study – The Society for Vascular Ultrasound
The Society for Vascular Ultrasound has over 5,000 professionals including, including vascular technologists, sonographers, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, & lab directors. SVU is dedicated to the advancement of noninvasive vascular technology that is utilized in the diagnosis of vascular disease. The Society retained Potomac Core to conduct a research-based strategic planning process that would lead to increased relevance for its Professionals.
Focus groups, interviews and survey research uncovered new opportunities to advance and promote the profession of Vascular Ultrasound. Working with the Board, a Board Task Force, and the staff team, SVU developed a high-level three-year business plan to advance the profession.
The Board of Directors unanimously approved the new high-level business plan in April 2017. SVU is aligned and globally positioned to drive relevance of the profession through:
- Establishing the Profession’s Value through Research.
- Enhancing the Profession’s Value through Professional Growth.
- Promoting the Profession’s value to the broader community.
